Marianne Redillas
Designer
Marianne is a recent graduate from University of Washington's Master of Architecture program. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in the various scales of adaptive reuse in both the interior design and architectural language. Before moving to Seattle in 2023, she worked in her alma mater's city of Columbus, Ohio. Marianne was involved in many project types, including international retail stores, city building renovations, and educational centers.
Born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia for most of her life, Marianne grew up around mountain activity and has always been influenced by her connection to nature and wildlife. Recognizing how large of an impact we have on the natural environment, she is inspired by passive design strategies that are introduced early in the design phase, not as an afterthought. Marianne is also an avid craft maker and rug artist of playful shapes and abstraction, always rethinking ways to use a material or object outside its original purpose. Having used to display and sell her rug art at community markets in Columbus, she is eager to continue to do so here in Seattle.
Expect her weekends to be filled with hiking or camping while photographing her action-packed travels with friends and family. Marianne profusely loves spending time with her Siberian husky, Ari, and two cats, Beau and Chai.
