Fabiola Vargas

Senior Designer

Fabiola’s love for architecture started at a young age, when a family friend took her to a “girls in engineering and architecture” weekend workshop at the University of Washington. Fabiola grew up in Seattle and spent a little under a decade in San Francisco. She studied interdisciplinary visual arts, architecture, and anthropology at the University of Washington, then earned her Master of Architecture from California College of the Arts. Her diverse education has resulted in a strong sense of art/aesthetics/design, cultural understanding, and strong analytical/research skills. She brings experience from a variety of project types and considers herself a generalist, having worked in residential, retail, and commercial design. Her commercial portfolio includes coffee shops, art studios, office spaces, and amenity spaces for multifamily projects. Fabiola has a long-standing curiosity for flexible and multifunctional spaces, she seeks to create authentic architecture that is imaginative, elevates the human experience and integrates biophilic design.

In her spare time, Fabiola enjoys attending art walks, paddle boarding, and exploring local events in and around her Belltown neighborhood. She has a deep appreciation for the arts and helps coordinate Fathom’s participation in the Belltown Art Walk, including efforts to connect with and feature local artists.
